Dr. Ram-Krishna Thakur an influencer, success expert, young-energetic and a public speaker with a spiritual bent of mind, Thakur is striving for excellence with compassion. Have 14 years of extensive International work experience (Academic-Industry-Govt. exposure) out of 24 years’ across many areas of Applied Physics, Industrial Engineering (Mech. & Electr. Eng.) and Technology Transfer Research - Commercially Focused Research Scientist. Thakur has qualities of a visionary-Thought Leader, a passionate Institution builder and a scholar. He is ambitious to scale the program offerings with contemporary education pedagogy, help develop academic-research ecosystem and life-cycle approach, academic partnership and maintain proactive relationship with educational institutions and business communities across, aims to create an entrepreneurial and research ecosystem creating a new generation of a passionate, catalytic, and entrepreneurial leaders, and able to transform the University into a Centre for Academic and Professional Excellence.
A dangerous optimist and a compassionate humanitarian, Thakur is an experienced-professional and instrumental in developing /setting up Schools for Natural Sciences, Liberal and Professional Studies, Training Facilities, and Advanced Research Laboratories for Cryogenics / UHV Surfaces & Materials Science under Class10 Clean Room environment, has contributed in designing new skill based employable courses to teach Physics and Technology to students of Applied Sciences, Liberal Studies and Eng. Have mentored students, faculties, and advised many Inst / Universities in developing their Science and Engineering curricula at Germany, Hong Kong, Italy and India.
Thakur remained on the panel of various expert committees for curriculum development, educational reforms and policy formulation, peer team visits for accreditation, international students acquisitions, faculty selection committees, research evaluations and placement. He is reviewer of SCI expanded peer reviewed International journals. Organized more than 15 high profile International Conferences, Symposia and workshops, and DST funded Science Camp, and several innovative Webinar Series in his professional capacity as a Conference Chair / Convener. Besides, extension activities and public engagements have always been an integral part of Thakur's scholarly work. His work has been frequently covered by the national print and electronic media.
